New Imp Studio is a community music project operated as a subsidiary of Healing Homes CIC. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Healing Homes CIC is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@newimpstudio.co.uk.

• Booking enquiries: your name, band or group name, email address, phone number, the date and times you want, and anything you write in the notes box.
• Emails and messages: whatever you choose to send us, including any follow-up correspondence.
• Technical data: basic server and security logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, generated automatically when you visit the site.

We do not ask for special category data. If a session involves access or support needs (for example a SEND or youth session), only share what we genuinely need to run the session safely, and we will treat it confidentially.

• To answer your enquiry and arrange a booking — lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and performance of that contract.
• To take and refund deposits and keep financial records — lawful basis: contract and legal obligation.
• To keep the site secure and working — lawful basis: legitimate interests in protecting our systems.
• To send occasional studio news, only if you ask us to — lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Community sessions involve under-18s. Where a booking or session relates to a child, we expect a parent, carer, school or youth-group lead to provide the details and act on the young person's behalf. We collect the minimum needed to run the session and never use children's details for marketing.

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the studio and this site — our website and database hosting provider, our email provider, and where relevant our payment provider for deposits. These providers act on our instructions under contract. Some may process data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum apply. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

• Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
• Booking records and related correspondence: up to 3 years after the booking.
• Financial records including deposits: 6 years, as required by HMRC.
• Server and security logs: normally no more than 12 months.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to be informed, to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We keep cookies to a minimum. This site does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.

If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies we will ask for your consent first through a cookie banner and update this page. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then stop working.

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes affecting how we use your data will be highlighted on the site.
